Although it falls between the familiar minor eleventh and major tenth of 12edo, it generally sounds more like a narrow eleventh than a wide tenth. It can be found between the 21st and 8th overtones in the harmonic series. It is the tritave inverse of 8/7. It differs from the Pythagorean minor eleventh of 8/3 by 64/63, a microtone of about 27.3¢.
